Detroit Derby Girls
The Detroit Derby Girls (DDG) are a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Detroit, Michigan. The league was formed in January 2005 and held their first bouts in February 2006.〔(Getting to Know the Detroit Derby Grrrrls )〕〔(Detroit Derby Girls' Inaugural Brawl | Derby News Network )〕〔(2005-2006 Season )〕 The Detroit Derby Girls are a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
==Teams==
The Detroit Derby Girls league comprises five home teams: the D-Funk Allstars, the Devil's Night Dames, the Detroit Pistoffs, the Pistolwhippers, and the Grand Prix Madonnas. In 2010 DDG added the fifth team (Grand Prix Madonnas) and moved venues from the Detroit Masonic Temple to Cobo Arena.〔(Detroit Derby Girls )〕 With the renovations at Cobo, DDG returned to the Detroit Masonic Temple for the 2011-2012 home season.
The league also has three interleague teams; An "A" all-star team: The Detroit Derby Girls Allstars, a "B" team: Motor City Disassembly Line (MCDL), and a pick-up style "C" Team containing various skill levels: Motown Wreckers.
